Terms of Service

Last Updated: May 4, 2026. By accessing or using Veteransition (the "Service"), including our web application and mobile apps for iOS and Android, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

1. Use of Service

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen or lawful resident to use Veteransition. The Service is designed for active duty service members, veterans, and their families transitioning from military service.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Veteransition only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment. You agree not to:

2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

Veteransition reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in prohibited conduct.

3. Service Access

Veteransition is currently offered as a free service. All features are available at no cost. We reserve the right to introduce paid subscription tiers in the future, at which time these terms will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the Service after any such update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

4. Intellectual Property and Trade Secrets

All content, features, and functionality of Veteransition (including text, graphics, logos, and software) are the exclusive property of Veteransition LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. The application's source code, database schema, internal algorithms, scoring rubrics (OCP, K-Fit, AI Coach analysis criteria), curated resource catalog, calculator constants, agent prompts, and audit-pipeline tooling are the proprietary work product of Veteransition LLC and constitute trade secrets under the federal Defend Trade Secrets Act (18 U.S.C. §§1839 et seq.) and applicable state Uniform Trade Secrets Acts.

Except where the right cannot be waived under applicable mandatory law (including 17 U.S.C. §1201(f) for narrow interoperability reverse-engineering and Article 6 of EU Directive 2009/24/EC), you agree not to:

Whistleblower carve-out (18 U.S.C. §1833(b)). Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit your immunity under the Defend Trade Secrets Act, which protects disclosure of a trade secret made (i) in confidence to a federal, state, or local government official or to an attorney solely for the purpose of reporting or investigating a suspected violation of law, or (ii) in a complaint or other document filed under seal in a lawsuit or other proceeding.

Survival. The obligations in this section survive termination of your account and continue for as long as the underlying material qualifies as a trade secret under applicable law.

Informal Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, you and Veteransition agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation. You must notify us of any dispute by sending a detailed written notice to support@veteransition.com within 30 days of discovering the dispute.

Arbitration

If the dispute cannot be resolved within 60 days of the notice, you agree that any and all disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and will be held in a mutually agreed location or, if not agreed, in the District of Columbia. Each party will bear its own costs, with the arbitrator determining who pays the arbitration filing fees.

Exceptions

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court for intellectual property infringement, breach of confidentiality, or unauthorized access to our systems.
